HOW TO SAVE A BAD DAY:

Bad days, we all have them. No matter how optimistic we are, there are bound to be days where things go wrong, or we get into an inexplainable funk. And sometimes we just have to feel through that. But there are also some things that I like to do to help me get out of a funk! So here are my tips!

Pray!

Whatever is going through your mind. Whether it’s stress, anxiety, or you are just feeling “blah”. Talk to God about it, tell him what you’re feeling. Ask him for relief, ask him for guidance, whatever you need in this moment. 

Blast Music

This is one of my favorite tips make my self feel better. I throw on my headphones and play my happy playlists as loud as I can (I will probably go deaf). And I can’t help but feel better. This tactic also doubles as a way to wake up in the morning when you are just not feeling it.

Journal

This can look like whatever you want it to. Whether you are rambling about your day, getting out your complaints on paper, or answering specific prompts. My favorite prompts to answer when I need a pick-me-up are “3 things I am grateful for in this moment”, and “3 things I am looking forward to”. These are such simple questions and they don’t take too much time to answer. Yet they shift your focus on the good things going on. Remind you of all the good around you, and all there is to be excited for, even if today wasn’t the best day.

Breath

So often, when I find myself overwhelmed, all I need to do is breath. It is easy to lose control when the world around you is so hectic and busy and people keep throwing more responsibilities, assignments, and jobs at you. But at the end of the day, everything will work out. We just need to center ourselves and breath.
